YES, REALTORS move too!

A famous radio host once had a show that was “Now you know the rest of the story” and I felt like this was my chance to share our story.

Over the years I have learned there is so much truth in the adage that “a pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity while an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty”. These words rang so true to me several months ago when I received a call from my landlord stating that the lot I had been leasing for the past 7 years was being SOLD. We had an agreement over the years and I knew that this could be a possibility at some point.

While digesting the news, he offered up a suggestion, “take the building with you”, which screamed “Opportunity” to me! My mind was racing about the logistics, timing, expenses, and more; this wasn’t just about me, it was about the 25 real estate agents that make up the Leslie Wells Realty family. It was at that moment that I realized a difficulty had just become an opportunity.

Years ago, along with some family members, we purchased a commercial property bordered by a canal and the Manatee River and covered in majestic oaks and palm trees. Very soon this same property, located at 6305-18 Street East in Ellenton, will be the new home of Leslie Wells Realty… and yes, we’re taking the old building with us! Our timing is incredible too. We have learned the same lessons that most Americans learned during the pandemic, yes, we can work from our homes and still be successful but we crave the camaraderie of our friends and colleagues. We learn so much from interacting with our peers and sharing the daily ins and outs of real estate, so we are happy to be coming back together!

Another Opportunity was the ability to work with amazing local talent. We called on friends and highly respected individuals in our community to make this happen. Trina Rozier, a General Contractor that grew up in Palmetto is our project manager and is overseeing this dream, along with Brett and Kyle Johnson of Johnson Movers of Parrish. Our planners, landscapers, designers, plumbers, marketing agents, social media gurus and electricians were all North of the River people that embraced the possibilities of this project.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of the Parrish and North of the River Community. For the last 20 years you have placed your confidence in our ability and have trusted us to list or sell your home, or both.
