Manatee Pride is an all-volunteer effort aimed at empowering and uplifting LBGTQ people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) who live in, love, and visit Bradenton and nearby communities, the Gulf islands, and greater Manatee County, Florida though an annual public celebration of pride. Our goals are to educate, commemorate, celebrate, liberate, and empower.
The first-ever Manatee Pride was held at the Bradenton Riverwalk in March 2014, and drew over 1,500 attendees, impressive for a first year event.
Manatee Pride is a program of Prism Youth Initiative, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in the state of Florida dedicated to supporting, affirming, encouraging, enabling, and empowering LGBTQ youth in Manatee County, Florida. All proceeds from Manatee Pride go to benefit Prism programs.
