Celebrating Milestones in 2021
Parrish seems to be growing by the minute. We’ve had a wave of new businesses, new families and new opportunities. And we’re not done yet. Sure, growth can sometimes feel uncomfortable and challenging, but a new perspective can make all the difference.
This year I celebrate 45 Years as a licensed REALTOR®. In 1979 I was a young and ambitious professional looking to establish my credibility as one of Florida’s premier agents. For me, becoming a broker only added to my passion for helping others. Though I could never have imagined the expansion our area has achieved over the years, my experience has shown me it has all been for the better.
Back then listing books, payphones, pagers, and fax machines were the norm in our industry. We were on the cutting edge of communication—or so we thought. “There’s no way it gets better than this,” we told ourselves. But it did. And each time technology advanced, we fought it just a little. Change can be scary, but we adapted, we grew, and we learned. Fast forward to 2021 and what once seemed normal, now seems so antiquated. I carry an iPhone and an iPad. I post listings on YouTube and Facebook and conduct daily virtual tours. Our office is filled with tech savvy agents with an entrepreneurial spirit who keep me on my toes and make sure we don’t miss a beat. The tools we use today have become essential for building business and maintaining high levels of customer service.
Twenty years ago, we marked another milestone in growth-the opening of Parrish’s first brick-and-mortar real estate office. As part of the Foxbrook Communities development team, we recognized early on the beauty Parrish could offer new families looking for a slightly slower pace, larger homesites and nearby access to neighboring amenities. Since then, our office has moved to 4 different locations along 301, each time changing our layout and location to better serve our community. It has been my sincerest of honors to be a part of the growth of Parrish and to be a part of this community. We are now selling homes to second and third generation Parrish families! We’ve grown stronger as a community overall.
Milestones naturally bring on reflection. When I write those big numbers down on paper, I must pause. I don’t feel old enough to have earned all those experiences and I recognize there’s still room to grow. As a result, I hereby mark this year as the birth of my newly realized ENERGY! Our real estate office is once again on the move as we too are in the beginning stages of rebirth and regrowth. Over the next few months, we’ll be relocating (watch for our subtle hints) to an area that allows better access for our clients and agents and to a spot that will actually be a gateway to the entire North Manatee River area. We’ll have greater access to I-75, Palmetto, Ellenton, Terra Ceia and of course, Parrish. Thank you to this wonderful community for allowing us to be your preferred REALTOR for all these years! Big things are in store for us in 2021!
